This is a lovely show with Madame Salami and her bear friends. She invites you and your teddy bear to a show packed with exquisite magic, songs, live animals, dancing, prizes and a teddy bears parade. The children will learn the history of teddy bears and meet a very cool bear puppet called Big Ted.
Children need to bring their teddy bears (or other stuffed toys) to the show because the teddies are involved in lots of dancing. Madame Salami will have some teddies that can be adopted for the duration of the show. Great prizes to be won!

Teddy Bears Profile:
The beloved teddy bear is a universal symbol of childhood security, warmth and innocence. Born around the same time as the airplane, the teddy bear is a legendary creature of fact, fiction and friendship. Cherished by their owners, teddy bears are popular for their unquestionable loyalty, their impenetrable devotion and their cuddly good looks. The bear took his name from President Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt. Once when the President was on a hunting trip he refused to shoot a bear cub. A toymaker heard about this hunt and asked the President if he could make a toy bear and name it after the President. The rest is history!
A fun experience that our students thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you.

Excellent props and magic tricks. Great audience participation.Thank you for sharing the history of the teddy bear. Also a great balance of singing, talking and movement opportunities for everyone.
We had the 'Teddy Bears Picnic' show for our little girls birthday party and it was marvellous. All the chidren brought their own teddies and Madame Salami did lots of magic to do with teddy bears.
