From the beginning of time mankind has celebrated life and their love for the Earth, through the art of dance, drama and song. We have always studied nature trying to express her and found there is no difference between dancing and living. When one dances one becomes an inseparable part of the great rhythm of the Universe. Dance is in us always - it is the rhythm of the Earth. Before man talked or sang he danced. Primitive man was inspired directly and immediately by the movement of wind, wave, bird and beast. The Earth is a living entity and mother of all life - everything in nature is alive - the great breathing mountains, trees, plants as well as the birds, animals and man. All are united in one harmonious whole. Movements are beautiful when they are natural to a child and inspired by a child's soul and inspired by nature.
Encouraging a love of music and movement is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your children !
THE AUNTIE'S PRESCHOOL WORKSHOPS - will offer creative and entertaining experiences for preschool children. The workshops will immerse the children in music, song, movement and mask-making. They will be run by Lynn Usmani (Madame Salami) who has had over 30 years experience in children's musical theatre, and loves working with children.
These workshops will also help stimulate and inspire the children's own natural creativity. They can either learn a fully choreographed movement piece or they can create their own. These workshops promise to be lots of fun!
